Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi said the Bharatiya Janata Party was fighting Lok Sabha elections hiding behind agencies. She added if the ruling party has courage, then it should fight against AAP based on the work it has done.

Addressing presspersons in Delhi, Atishi said, “BJP files all kinds of false cases against AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal through central agencies like ED, CBI, I-T and, Election Commission of India. The case in Goa was also similar, when the ECI sent a notice to Arvind Kejriwal on the complaint filed by the BJP. But, the Goa Court dismissed the case citing it as baseless on Friday. I want to say to the BJP that if they want to face AAP politically, then the BJP shouldn't try to fight the elections by hiding behind the agencies. If you have the courage then come forward and fight the elections based on your work."

Atishi charged AAP leaders are being arrested despite lack of evidence of money trail. Meanwhile, no action has been initiated against the BJP or President J.P. Nadda despite evidence. “On March 21, 2024, for the first time, the evidence of money trail in the liquor scam came into being. When raids and even arrests have been made just on the possibilities of the money trail, how many arrests, summons and raids have been done by the ED in the last 16 days when the evidence is there. ED did nothing as this money trail is going to the BJP account from the liquor trader Sharat Reddy.”

Atishi asked when will the agency probe the BJP as a money trail of Rs 55 crore from the South lobby to the party has been established. “I ask ED, when will they issue summons to BJP President J.P. Nadda. When will ED raid him and when will he be arrested?" she asked.

Atishi said AAP leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, were arrested in the money laundering case registered in connection with the scrapped liquor policy despite a lack of evidence. Atishi said the ED hasn’t been able to establish a money trail against any of the AAP leaders.
