Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kashmir in March to address a public rally in the southern district of Anantnag.

Modi's visit is, reportedly, planned between March 7 and March 15.

BJP's Kashmir unit is urging the prime minister to also address a rally in Srinagar, although no final decision has been taken yet.

The exact date of his visit is expected to be announced shortly.

This visit marks PM Modi's second trip to Jammu and Kashmir since February 20, when he addressed a massive public rally in Jammu and inaugurated projects worth Rs 32,000 crore.

Last week, he e-inaugurated several developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir worth several crores.

Modi made a strong pitch for the BJP's target of 370 Lok Sabha seats during his first trip to Jammu.

The BJP is making all-out efforts to win three Lok Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir, especially the newly created Anantnag-Rajouri seat which has a sizeable population of Pahari ethnic group, which was granted the Scheduled Tribe status recently.
