West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday accused the CPI(M) of trying to dictate terms at the meeting of INDIA bloc, a statement which hints at the widening fissures within the opposition alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
“I fought the CPI(M) for 34 years in Bengal. Now I see them trying to dictate terms at INDIA bloc meetings,” Banerjee said.
She was speaking to the media after holding an all-faith rally that included visits to diverse places of worship, such as a temple, mosque, church, and gurdwara in Kolkata.
The 'Sanghati March' was held on a day when the consecration of Ram Lalla at the grand temple in Ayodhya was held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
