'Oppn rattled by Assembly poll losses; some voicing support to Parl breach’, attacks PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi charged Opposition is frustrated due to its loss in the recently held Assembly elections and BJP will only gain numbers due to its conduct in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing BJP MPs during a Parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, Modi said, “The Opposition rattled by Assembly poll losses and disrupting Parliament in frustration. Opposition’s conduct will ensure its numbers will go down in 2024 Lok Sabha polls and BJP will gain in numbers.” Modi added the goal of the INDIA bloc is to throw out the BJP government while the party’s aim is to create a bright future for the country. 

PM Modi expressed concern regarding some parties voicing support for the Parliament security breach and said it was “dangerous” as the breach itself. “Everyone believing in democracy should have jointly condemned security breach in Parliament,” Modi said. Modi has also advised BJP MPs to visit border villages after the session.

The INDIA alliance is conducting its fourth meeting in Delhi on Tuesday, the first since the Congress suffered a setback across the Hindi heartland in the recently concluded Assembly elections. On the table will be seat sharing, a joint campaign blueprint and redrawing the joint strategy to take on the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
