Denied sex, youth murders live-in partner with scissors in MP's Indore

The couple moved in together after becoming friends on social media

A 20-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Madhya Pradesh's Indore by her live-in partner allegedly for refusing to get physically intimate, the police said.

According to the police, the shocking crime took place on December 7, Thursday. However, the lifeless body of the victim was only found on December 9. The accused  Praveen Singh Dhakad (24) fled the spot following the crime but was traced and arrested on Wednesday.

The victim and Praveen Dhakad became friends on Instagram, news agency PTI said quoting police sources. A few days back, the young couple moved in to rent a house in Indore's Raoji Bazaar area. A fight broke out between the two on Thursday when Dhakad demanded sex but the woman refused. 

Angered by the denial, the man, native to MP's Guna attacked his partner violently using a scissor. The young woman suffered a serious injury to her neck and collapsed, the PTI report said.

The accused quickly fled the crime scene and took the victim's mobile phone with him.

However, once the woman's body was recovered, the crime came to light and Praveen Singh Dhakad was arrested on Wednesday.
