Former AP CM Chandrababu Naidu arrested in corruption case

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, in connection with a corruption case. He has, reportedly, been shifted to Vijayawada.

Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department officers reached Nandyal, where Naidu was visiting, with a arrest warrant against him. However, they could not take him into custody as TDP supporters protested. They questioned the late-night action against Naidu.

A minor scuffle, too, broke out between the police and the party workers.
