Youth biggest strength, Rozgar Mela to help in nation building, says PM Modi

Modi also launched 'Karamyogi Bharat' platform for skill development

As part of the 'Rozgar Mela', Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed as many as 71,000 appointment letters to new recruits via video conferencing. 

"Youth biggest strength of the country, government is giving top-most priority to ensuring their talent is utilised in nation-building," said PM Modi while distributing the letters. 

Modi also launched 'Karmayogi Prarambh' module-online orientation course for all new appointees at Rozgar Mela.  

"Today's 'Rozgar Mela' shows that the government is working in mission mode to provide government jobs," said Modi. "Even as experts in developed nations fear a major crisis, economists say India has golden opportunity to display economic capability," he said. 

"In front of the rest of the people of the country, all of you who are going to shoulder this new responsibility, are being appointed as a representative of the Central Government in a way," said PM. 

You are getting this new responsibility in a special era. The country has entered Amrit Kaal. We the citizens have taken the resolution to make India a developed nation in this duration. To attain this resolution, you're going to be the 'saarthi' of the country, said Modi. 

Last month appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 people.

Physical copies of appointment letters will be handed over at 45 locations across the country, except Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh where the Model Code of Conduct is in force, reported PTI.

In addition to the categories of posts filled earlier, posts of teachers, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, doctors, pharmacists, Radiographers and other technical and paramedical posts are also being filled.

Also, a significant number of posts are being filled by the Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
