2 lakh youth to be linked to self-employment opportunities every month: MP CM

Reiterates promise to provide 1 lakh govt job in a year

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Thursday, assured that two lakh youths from the state will be linked to self-employment opportunities every month. 

Speaking at a state-level employment day event at Budhni in Sehore, the CM said one lakh government jobs will be provided next year. Employment and self-employment will also be made available in various schemes of the government, he added.

The CM said in the past eight months, 25 lakh youths have been linked with self-employment schemes.

Chouhan performed foundation stone laying ceremonies for 26 industrial clusters and regional incubation centres on the occasion. He also distributed cheques and letters of approval of self-employment schemes to beneficiaries.

Chouhan said technical and skilled youth should come forward to set up industries, and promised that the government would serve as loan guarantor for up to Rs 50 lakh in self-enterprises by the youth, at three per cent interest.

He said the release of cheetahs in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, apart from MP being a tiger and leopard state will lead to the creation of large-scale employment opportunities in the tourism sector.

Medical college for Budhni

The CM also announced that a medical college will be set up at Budhni. He said this will enable the citizens of Narmadapuram division to get better health services. 

Referring to the construction of four-lane roads in Budhni area, he said better transport facilities around Budhni would bring more industries, which would make the entire area prosperous.

Sakhlecha said work is being done on 41 industrial clusters in the state as per the vision of the chief minister.

The guests, including the CM, also inspected the stalls put up by various companies at the venue to provide employment information and opportunities to the youth. In all, 21 companies from various districts including Sehore, Indore, Dewas, Raisen of MP and others from Gujarat and Rajasthan had put up their stalls. An exhibition of products of women self-help groups in the area was also put up.
