The swearing-in ceremony of Vice-President elect Jagdeep Dhankar would be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday. Outgoing VP M.Venkaiah Naidu's term came to an end on Wednesday.

President Droupadi Murmu will be administering the oath to Dhankar at 11.45am today. The former West Bengal governor got elected as VP defeating Opposition's Margaret Alva.

In the election, Dhankhar won with a huge vote share of 74.36 per cent, the highest in the last six vice-presidential elections, with 528 votes against Alva's 182 votes. As VP, he would also serve as the Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
