Attacking the Centre, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the nation is witnessing the death of democracy. He added that the government is not allowing to raise real issues of the public.

Talking to presspersons, Gandhi said India which was built brick by brick, started a century ago, is being destroyed. He charged anyone standing against this idea of onset of dictatorship is viciously attacked, jailed, arrested and beaten up. Rahul charged that the government is run to protect the interests of four or five people. He accused all institutions in the country are now being controlled by RSS.

“The more I tell truth, the more I raise the public issues, I will be attacked,” he said. He said that he is not scared of ED. No discussion is being allowed in Parliament, Gandhi criticised. Gandhi said that finance minister has no understanding (of issues) and she is just a mouthpiece. Ask any State, they would say GST is a disaster, Gandhi said.

The Congress party has announced protests against the Centre condemning it for price rise, unemployment and imposition of Goods and Services Tax on food items. The party has planned a 'Chalo Rashtrapati Bhavan' march from Parliament to President's House that will be undertaken by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs and they are planning to gherao PM's residence. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot other senior Congress leaders were present.
