West Bengal police got a message this morning from Uttarakhand police that Indian Mujahideen is targeting key RSS leaders in Bengal. Uttarakhand police informed the intelligence branch and also the Director General of Police Manoj Malviya.

Steps have been taken since to alert the entire police force in the state.

The message from the Uttarakhand police has not mentioned any leader in particular.

A picture has, reportedly, been uploaded on the Telegram channel “Dukharan-e-Indian Mijahidin”.

It says, “Hamari Ladai RSS ki Vichardhara se Hain, Janta Se Nehin. (Our fight is against RSS ideology, not against the people of this country). Humara aagla Nishana RSS ke Neta Hain.”

IB has sent messages to officers of all ranks, including the district police superintendents, who are in charge of the district intelligence wing as well.

“In view of the above, you are requested to please sensitise police personnel under your control to keep a sharp vigil and take all sorts of preventive /productive/ Precautionary measures so that no untoward incident occurs. Value added information if any on this score should be intimated to this office.”
