Prophet Muhammad row: Mumbai Police say Nupur Sharma untraceable for past 4 days

The Mumbai Police team that is in Delhi in connection with the probe against now suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her comments against prophet Muhammad claimed that she has been untraceable for past four days.

The team, from Pydhonie police station in Mumbai, has been in the national capital for the past five days as it needs to physically hand over summons to Sharma to appear before police.

An FIR was registered against the BJP leader at the police station on May 28 in connection with the statements she made during a television news channel debate. She has been summoned to appear before Pydhonie police on June 25 at 11am for recording of statement.

Meanwhile, a week after violence erupted in Uttar Pradesh over the remarks Muhammad, no untoward incident took place following the Friday prayers.
