The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday removed Director General of Police Mukul Goel from his post accusing him of disobeying the orders and not taking interest in his work.
Last week, the National Human Rights Commission had issued a notice to the DGP seeking report on the alleged sexual assault of 13 year old girl by a police officer inside the station in Lalitpur district.
