The British prime minister said that his visit to India would focus on what he said were “the things that really matter to the people of both the countries – from job creation and economic growth, to energy security and defence”.

According to Downing Street, the Johnson is expected to announce investment in “key industries” in Britain and India and collaboration on science, health and technology.

On April 22, he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.
