A day after the Mukti Morcha (JMM) claimed that there is a BJP conspiracy to topple the JMM-Congress-RJD government in Jharkhand, after the arrest of three people for alleged conspiracy, a Congress MLA said he was offered a ministerial berth and Rs 1 crore if he agrees to bring down the coalition government in the state.

According to Indian Express, while MLA Naman Bixal Kongari clarified that no BJP worker approached him with the offer, he said three people approached him through Congress workers, claiming that they work form some companies. He said they tried to approach him repeatedly despite his attempts discourage them from meeting him.

"Once, they offered me more than Rs 1 crore in cash," he was quoted as saying. The Congress leader said he informed Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam, party in-charge in the state R.P.N. Singh and Chief Minister Hemant Soren about it.

He said apart from money, the trio also promised them a ministerial post.

Kongari, who represents Kolebira assembly constituency, said those who approached him told him that they are doing this at the behest of the saffron party.

“People were contacting us since January, taking names of businessmen and saying that BJP asked them to do so. I was offered a ministerial berth and crores of money t help in toppling the incumbent state government. I rejected them and informed senior leaders and CM Soren,” Timesnownews quoted the MLA as saying.

However, the MLA said he cannot confirm if the three people who have been arrested, following a complaint filed by Bermo MLA Kumar Jaimangal, are the same people who approached him with the offer.
