Rajya Sabha Chairperson Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday morning ordered three AAP MPs to leave the House for the remainder of the day. The three MPs are Sanjay Singh, N.D. Gupta and Sushil Kumar Gupta.

Naidu took the action against the three MPs for interrupting the motion of thanks to the president's address and for shouting slogans against the three contentious farm laws.

Naidu said 15 hours had been allocated for discussions on the farmers' protests, but there was still disruption in the house. "Have allotted 15 hours of discussion on farmers' protest, yet there's chaos in the house... This is nothing but case of [one] upmanship, please leave the house," Naidu was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Naidu briefly adjourned the house following the protests. Naidu said question hour had been suspended for Wednesday and Thursday and zero hour had also been suspended. Naidu also said private members' business for Friday had been suspended.

Sanjay Singh had on Tuesday evening posted on Twitter a letter to Naidu in which he requested "all other works should be postponed" and the farmers' issues be discussed in the house.
