Reacting to Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay's claim that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen or AIMIM are trying win the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with "Rohingyas, Pakistani and Afghanistani voters," Owasi said he would give the BJP 24 hours to tell how many Pakistanis live in Hyderabad.

Campaigning for the BJP ahead of the GHMC polls scheduled to be held on December 1, Sanjay had said the polls should be conducted "without voters from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Rohingyas," news agency ANI reported.

The BJP leader also said the saffron party will conduct a surgical strike in the Old City once the party comes to power.

Reacting to these, Owaisi said, "A BJP leader said that if they win elections (GHMC) then they'll do surgical strike in the Old City to remove Pakistanis, Rohingyas from there. All those living here are citizens of India." Further, he gave the BJP 24 hours to show how many Pakistanis live in Hyderabad.

Sanjay had earlier said those who vote for TRS are supporters of Pakistan, China and Bangladesh. He had also taken on TRS supremo and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao over his adverse comments on the introduction of CAA, and said, “What happened to the Hindu families in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan? Islamic governments and organisations destroyed Hindus. There were attacks on temples. This is why we need CAA. Is he (KCR) not bothered about them?”
