Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was found himself in an embarrassing position during an election rally on Wednesday after a group of people raised slogans praising RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. A video of the incident showed a visibly upset Kumar reprimanding them, saying ‘halla mat karo’.

"If you don't want to vote for my party, please don't, but do not create nuisance," the chief minister was heard saying. The protesters were later whisked away from the venue.

Earlier, in a similar incident at Rafiganj in Aurangabad district, a person from the crowd shouted that ‘Nitish Kumar is a thief’ while the CM was addressing a public meeting.

"Nitish Kumar is a thief, Nitish Kumar is a thief, he has eaten MNREGA money,” the man screamed.

The three-phase assembly elections will begin on October 27. The results will be announced on November 10.
