Goa Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar filed a police complaint on Monday, claiming that his mobile phone was hacked after a porn clip was shared from his mobile to a WhatsApp group.

The clip was reportedly shared in a WhatsApp group named 'Villages of Goa'.

According to a Hindustan Times report, in his complaint to Goa Police Cyber Cell, the deputy chief minister claimed that "the video was sent to this WhatsApp group where I am one of the members and it was intentionally masked in my name with some criminal intention. The message was sent to only this group out of the many WhatsApp groups where I am a member."

Kavlekar claimed that at the time the message was sent, 1:20 am on Sunday night, he was fast asleep.

Further, in the complaint, the minister claimed that there have been attempts to defame him in the past as well and sought "strong action against all such miscreants and unscrupulous individuals who have criminally hacked/ tampered with my mobile phone," and sent the clip to the group.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been registered against the minister by women's wing of Goa Forward Party at the women's police station, accusing him of outraging the modesty of women.
