Fujifilm to help hospitals in early diagnosis of COVID-19 cases

The company is providing technological help in effective monitoring of the diseases

As India is battling the novel coronavirus pandemic, Fujifilm India is using its technological prowess to help hospitals in effective monitoring and controlling of the disease. The company said they are installing computed radiology and digital radiology systems and imagers across the isolation wards.

“We are installing Computed Radiology, Digital Radiology systems and imagers across isolation wards to ensure effective monitoring and controlling the disease outbreaks. On a micro level, these technologies will empower clinicians to improve efficiency and expedite the early diagnosis of the disease,” said Chander Shekhar Sibal, spokesperson, Fujifilm India.

In a statement, Sibal said Fujifilm is “committed to working towards building affordable healthcare solutions that can help provide relief to the framework in the immediate future and also pave way for long-standing healthcare support going forward”.

He said the Fujifilm service teams are working hard to avoid disruptions from the COVID-19 virus while acting responsibly to do what they can to prevent further spread.

“We believe that technology and innovation will work towards national service and play a vital role in these times of distress,” he said.
