The body of Cafe Coffee Day owner V G Siddhartha has been found by a group of fishermen from the Netravati river. Siddhartha, son-in-law of former Karnataka CM S.M. Krishna was reported missing yesterday.
Siddhartha's driver said that he got off the car near the bridge at Netravati river in the Kotepura area of Dakshina Kannada. When he did not return for a long time, he alerted the family and the police. Fishermen had confirmed yesterday that they had seen someone jump into the river.
The owner of Cafe Coffee Day had written a letter explaining how he was incurring losses to his company due to some bad investments in the share market.
In a letter to the CCD board and staff, Siddhartha accused the previous DG of the IT department of harassment in the form of attaching "our shares on two separate occasions to block our Mindtree deal and then taking position of our Coffee Day shares, although revised returns have been filed by us (sic)".
