At least three fishermen were killed and 12 injured after a ship rammed into a country fishing boat off Munambam coast near Kochi in Kerala on Tuesday.
There were 15 people on the boat named Oceana. Two people with serious injuries have been admitted to a hospital in Kochi. Nine people are missing, according to early reports. The accident happened around 3 am on Tuesday.
Rescue operations are underway.
The ship's identity was not immediately known as it continued its course after the collision, reported Onmanorama. Officials are trying to track down the ship.
