Even as the trolling of Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj seemingly continues, a prominent Congress spokesperson on Monday filed a police complaint against a Twitter user who had threatened to rape her 10-year-old daughter.

Chaturvedi told ANI news agency, “We are trolled every day, but I got to know that someone is talking about my daughter on social media. I am filing a criminal complaint, so that such people don't get away." Chaturvedi revealed on Twitter on Sunday that a user, @GirishK1605, had threatened to rape her daughter.

Chaturvedi also said she was complaining about a fake quote attributed to her being circulated on social media. The quote reportedly has her voicing support for the Mandsaur case rapists. Chaturvedi said the Mumbai Police have assured her of prompt action.

Responding to the trolling of Swaraj and Chaturvedi, the Congress alleged that Swaraj was the victim of a “Frankenstein's Monster” created by the BJP. Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said no BJP leader had came out in support of Swaraj.

"Anybody who creates a Frankenstein Monster must remember that (it)... swallow you up. Anybody who rides a tiger must know that the tiger has to decide when to eat you up; you cannot decide as to when to dismount. This is a tiger put beneath Ms Sushma Swaraj by the party to which she belongs," Singhvi said.

"It does not matter whether it is Priyanka Chaturvedi or Sushma Swaraj. The point is: Is this the India we want to live in? We had social media earlier also... social media was not invented four years ago,” he said.
