The father and brother of Kerala woman Neenu Chacko, whose fiance was found murdered in Kollam on Monday, surrendered in Kannur on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old man, allegedly abducted by a gang engaged by his fiancee Neenu's relatives, was found dead in a river in Kollam district on Monday.
As many as 14 people, including Neenu's parents Chacko and Rehna, and brother Sanu Chacko, were booked in the case.
The initial autopsy report hinted that Kevin P. Joseph could have been drowned. Sources said the grievous injuries on his body were not the cause of death.
Tension prevailed at the Kottayam medical college hospital on Tuesday where the post-mortem was held. CPI(M) workers tried to manhandle former Kerala minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on his arrival at the hospital.
Heart-wrenching scenes were witnessed when Kevin's body was taken to his house in Nattassery. The funeral is service is being held at the Good Shepherd Church.
