NEET 2018, the common entrance test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to find eligible candidates for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India, concluded by 1 pm on Sunday.
According to early reactions, NEET 2018 proved to be moderate in difficulty level for most of the students. There were 180 objective type questions of for maximum 720 marks. Students were satisfied that the questions were primarily from the CBSE’s prescribed syllabus.
Most of the students found questions from physics the most difficult followed by chemistry and biology.
Several students found the numerical in Physics, especially thermodynamics, tough. Meanwhile, Biology had more of human physiology questions which students found easy.
However, authorities undertook strict measures to check cheating at exam centres. Students said their ears and mouth were checked ahead of the examination. Girls with their hair tied in a bun were asked to leave their hair open.
NEET 2018 was conducted in Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
This year, more than 13 lakh students have enrolled for NEET 2018 across India. There are 7,46, 076 females and 5,80,648 males appearing for NEET 2018, in addition to one transgender candidate. NEET 2018 will be conducted at 2,255 exam centres spread across 136 cities in the country. The NEET 2018 results are expected by June 5.
