Gurugram police turned out to be saviours after their prompt action saved the life of a woman whose health deteriorated while riding in the Sector-23 area.

As per doctors, the woman was suffering from internal bleeding due to an issue in the uterus and her condition could have become critical had she not received timely medical treatment, PTI reported.

Police stated that the woman made a distress call to her husband after she felt weak and felt like she was losing consciousness while driving her car. Her husband, who was himself undergoing treatment for a liver-related ailment at Medanta Hospital, contacted the Police Control Room from the hospital and sought assistance. Acting promptly, the police team set out to find the woman and provide her with emergency medical assistance.

"As soon as information was given to 112, the ERV-265 police team reached the spot immediately without wasting any time and provided assistance, the woman's family members said at the hospital.

"This prompt action by Gurugram Police is truly commendable," they said.
