Dipika Kakar’s doctor recommends black coffee for liver health—Here’s why

Dipika Kakar’s recent health update has sparked interest in the benefits of black coffee for liver health

Popular television actress Dipika Kakar and husband Shoaib Ibrahim had some interesting insights regarding liver health, which will be appreciated by coffee lovers.

In a recent vlog, the couple shared that Dipika's doctor had suggested drinking black coffee to support liver health, a statement that sparked interest among fans and health enthusiasts alike.

“Now I will have black coffee. Our doctor told us that instant mixes are not that effective. It is better to grind coffee beans and use a coffee maker to make and drink fresh coffee. It is more useful for the liver,” Shoaib shared.

He mentioned that doctors have suggested that they drink at least 3-4 cups of black coffee a day.  Recently, Kakar underwent another surgery, as a cyst reappeared near her liver.

Her experience has since sparked conversations on social media, with many users discussing ways to support liver health.

Medical experts note that black coffee contains antioxidants and bioactive compounds that may help reduce inflammation and support liver health when taken in moderation.

Apart from supporting liver health, black coffee has other benefits as well. From acting as a natural anti-depressant to supporting cardiovascular health, the advantages of black coffee go beyond taste.

According to Manipal Hospitals, one of the lesser-known benefits of drinking black coffee is its capability to reduce the risk of depression. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds in coffee help reduce inflammation in the brain, which is often associated with depression and anxiety.

Experts reiterate that while consumption of black coffee can be beneficial, individuals should consult health care professionals before making significant dietary changes, especially those with existing medical conditions.
