U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in a candid conversation, described President Donald Trump’s diet as unhealthy, saying he’s “not sure how he’s alive.”

The remarks were made on The Katie Miller Podcast, where Kennedy, without hesitation, pointed to Trump and his food choices as unhinged eating habits. “He eats really bad food, which is McDonald’s and candy and Diet Coke. He drinks the Diet Coke at all times. If you travel with him, you get this idea that he's just pumping himself full of poison all day long.”

Kennedy’s comments drew immediate attention because they came from the nation’s top health official and directly addressed Trump’s widely publicised preference for fast food and sugary drinks — especially while travelling.

The secretary argued that, on the road, Trump tends to rely on fast-food chains because he trusts it and doesn’t want to get sick. The remarks also came at a time when the lifestyle and longevity of Trump are being talked about, especially as he approaches his eighth decade. Trump has previously defended his health, pointing to recent medical reports and dismissing concerns about ageing or diet.

Meanwhile, the White House also highlighted Trump’s latest MRI scan, stating his cardiovascular system is strong, all major organs are healthy, and abdominal imaging is normal.

Regardingpublic policies, the Trump administration made abrupt and sweeping cuts to substance abuse and mental health programs across the country. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration canceled some 2,000 grants representing nearly USD 2 billion in funding, as per AP. Experts believe the move will jeopardize the lives of some of the country's most vulnerable.
