As per figures reported by Sacnilk, "Jailer 2" collected ₹12.70 crore on Day 1 (Thursday), ₹7.90 crore on Day 2 (Friday), and ₹8.85 crore on Day 3 (Saturday), along with the aforementioned Day 4 earnings.
Overall, the Rajinikanth and Mohanlal starrer, helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has recorded a massive ₹424.25 crore worldwide gross and an India net collection of ₹199.90 crore over its initial 4-day run.
The initial boost is also attributed to the presence of Mohanlal's cameo, despite strong backlash over the Malayalam superstar's limited screen time compared to the first film, also directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
"Jailer 2" has by now also overtaken both of Rajinikanth's most recent hits "Coolie" and the original "Jailer".
"Coolie" had only collected ₹18.50 crore in the first four days, while "Jailer" collected ₹24.05 crore in the same time period. The Day 4 net of "Coolie" was ₹9.75 crore, while "Jailer" registered a Day 4 net of ₹5.85 crore.
In terms of uptick percentage, "Jailer 2" opening-day gross in Kerala (₹12.70 crore) rose to 115% compared to the original "Jailer".
Notably, "Coolie", which released during the Independence Day holiday window, dropped sharply by Day 4. In comparison, "Jailer 2" fared better by doing bigger numbers than the previous day.
With ₹40.20 crore in four days, "Jailer 2" is currently tracking as the second-fastest film across all languages to hit box office milestones in Kerala, behind Mohanlal's "Empuraan" (sequel to "Lucifer", both directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran).
