Paramount+ has officially announced the premiere date of "Frisco King", the highly anticipated spin-off of Sylvester Stallone-starrer "Tulsa King".

"Frisco King" will premiere on Paramount+ on December 18, 2026. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, the crime-comedy drama follows a former hitman who sets out to build his own criminal empire in the suburbs of Texas.

Created and written by Taylor Sheridan, the series will launch with two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday. Its first season will have eight episodes. (In India, the show is expected to stream on JioHotstar.)

Jackson plays Russell Lee Washington Jr., also known as Lee Washington, a veteran New Orleans gangster and former hitman. The character was introduced in the third season of "Tulsa King", starring Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi.

Washington first arrives in Oklahoma with a dangerous mission. The Renzetti crime family of New York hires him to kill Dwight, who has built a criminal operation of his own. However, Washington’s assignment takes an unexpected turn because the two men share a long history.

They spent ten years together in federal prison, where Dwight once saved Washington’s life. When they meet again, Washington chooses to talk with his old friend instead of killing him. Over drinks, they discuss their past and recognise they share a common enemy in the New York crime syndicate.

Washington abandons his assignment and joins Dwight’s crew. He uses his experience and deadly skills to help Dwight deal with local threats, including a powerful liquor businessman. Their partnership strengthens Dwight’s position and gives Washington a new perspective on his future.

Watching Dwight build a successful operation in Oklahoma changes Washington’s outlook. He begins to question whether he wants to spend the rest of his life working for other crime bosses.

By the end of "Tulsa King" Season 3, Washington had shared his desire to return to New Orleans and start something of his own. However, his plans eventually lead him to Frisco, Texas, where he sees an opportunity to become his own boss.

In "Frisco King", Washington will discover that the polished, peaceful-looking suburbs hide a busy underground economy. Determined to take advantage of it, he begins building a criminal network. He recruits a trusted driver, an ambitious young protégé and a group of unusual partners. Together, they turn small-time scams into a growing criminal enterprise.

Jackson leads a cast that includes Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate, Savanna Gann, Tom Pecinka and Arturo Del Puerto. Stallone will also make a special guest appearance as Dwight Manfredi, connecting the new series to its parent show. The first teaser trailer features Dwight and Washington planning together.

Jackson serves as an executive producer alongside Sheridan and Stallone.

The project was initially developed under the title NOLA King, with its story set in New Orleans. The setting was later changed to Frisco, Texas, allowing production to take place in North Texas, closer to Sheridan’s production base.
