Dulquer Salmaan’s latest Malayalam action thriller "I’m Game", directed by Nahas Hidayath, is enjoying a strong run at the box office. The film has collected nearly ₹40 crore worldwide in its first four days and is expected to cross the ₹40 crore mark on Monday.

According to Sacnilk’s box office tracking update, "I’m Game" has earned around ₹22.20 crore in India gross collections, including ₹19 crore in net collections. On Day 4, the film collected ₹4.35 crore net in India from 2,910 shows. Its overseas performance has also been impressive, with Day 4 collections of around ₹3.75 crore. The film’s total overseas gross has reached approximately ₹17.50 crore, taking its worldwide gross to ₹39.70 crore.

Interestingly, this collection marginally matches the 4-day opening worldwide collection of the Pranav Mohanlal-Dhyan Sreenivasan entertainer "Varshangalkku Shesham" (directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and featuring Nivin Pauly's cameo). It had reportedly pulled in around ₹38.5 crore to ₹39.80 crore in its opening 4 days. 

The performance of "I'm Game" is quite remarkable when compared with Dulquer Salmaan’s recent Malayalam releases. It has officially surpassed his 2023 film "King of Kotha", which only collected ₹30.10 crore worldwide in its first four days. "I’m Game" earned nearly ₹10 crore extra in the same period. However, "King of Kotha", despite being a hyped release, struggled to maintain momentum after receiving largely negative reviews. Its lifetime worldwide gross was around ₹38.08–₹39.30 crore.

Dulquer’s 2021 film "Kurup" is his biggest Malayalam-language successe, earning more than ₹78 crore worldwide during its theatrical run. With its strong opening, "I’m Game" has made an encouraging start and could potentially challenge "Kurup" if it maintains its momentum during the weekdays.

Another key factor behind the film’s success is its overseas appeal. Nearly 44% of its worldwide gross has come from international markets, underlining Dulquer’s strong popularity among audiences outside India. The coming days will determine whether it can turn its strong opening into a major Malayalam box-office success.
