After 18 days in theatres, Arjun Sarja's Tamil action-thriller "Blast" is set for its digital premiere as it nears the end of its month-long big-screen run. Netflix has picked up the mid-budget blockbuster co-starring Abhirami and Preity Mukundhan, and has slated its release for June 25. Directed by debutant Subash K Raj, the film was released theatrically on May 28.
The digital release of the AGS Entertainment-produced movie, which has already collected over Rs 68 crore globally against an estimated Rs 18 crore budget, will be available in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Centered on a four-member family whose peaceful existence is shattered after they get unwittingly caught up in the illegal operations of a crime syndicate and their henchmen, the film was praised for the action sequences involving Arjun, Preity and Abhirami, who stand up against the group who will go to any extent to execute a mining project that could bring in a massive fortune but at the expense of the lives of many residents living in a certain region.
"Blast" has already become a profitable venture for the makers, since it has already crossed the break-even point. Tamil Nadu was the principal revenue generator, followed by Kerala, where it is the most successful Tamil film of 2026 after Suriya's "Karuppu", with their box office totals differing by only a margin. Overall, the film has maintained an exceptional theatrical run, already crossing its break-even point in its first week and currently ranking as the 5th highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026 globally.
