This pushes the India net total to Rs 44.73 and India gross to Rs 51.43 crore, for a cumulative global total of Rs 65.48 crore. Reaching over Rs 65 crore worldwide for a mid-budget or regional film after three weeks demonstrates solid commercial endurance. For a movie made on an estimated Rs 18 crore budget, this is exceptional business.

This performance demonstrates that "Blast", which features Preity Mukundhan and Abhirami sharing the screen with Arjun in equally significant roles, is holding steady, buoyed by excellent word-of-mouth. A 130% jump from Saturday to Sunday on a third weekend is rare, which happens only once in a blue moon. In an age when most Indian big releases see a drop in collections after the second week, "Blast" has been doing a daily business of over Rs 1 crore, and even higher on weekends. The third Sunday numbers are expected to surpass Rs 3 crore.

After all, generating Rs 2.99 crore from 1,586 shows means a very high average collection per show. Indian movie theatres continue to be the primary revenue-generator for this movie, which is the directorial debut of Subash K. Raj. And of all the South states, Kerala continues to be the strongest revenue generator after Tamil Nadu. The total Kerala-only gross collection is approximately Rs 12.33 crore.

"Blast" is currently the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026 in Kerala, sitting right behind Suriya's "Karuppu" (which stands at Rs 14.25 crore). "Blast" should easily cross "Karuppu" Kerala lifetime total by Sunday.
