Actress Mouni Roy and businessman Suraj Nambiar have officially confirmed their divorce after four years of marriage. The couple had tied the knot on January 27, 2022, in a lavish destination in Goa and had been together for four years. They jointly shared an official statement on Instagram on May 14, 2026, confirming the news.
Divorce speculations and rumours had started gaining widespread public attention much earlier this week when fans noted the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, shortly after which Suraj had allegedly deactivated his Instagram account.
Following this, Mouni Roy shared an Instagram story requesting media houses to stop spreading "false narratives" and to give them space and privacy.
The official statement shared by the couple read "We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably".
The couple also stated that they intend to "cherish" their friendship in the future. Through the post, the couple also expressed their disappointment towards the media for spreading "fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods" and for bringing unsolicited attention towards their personal lives during a difficult phase.
The post was captioned by a message by Mouni Roy requesting everyone to give them privacy and dignity and to refrain from spreading any false stories about either party.
Since the couple have officially confirmed their separation now, their statement would put an end to days of intense speculation surrounding their relationship.
