Riteish Deshmukh's 'Raja Shivaji' X reviews: Salman Khan's cameo and exhilarating background scores praised by fans

Riteish Deshmukh’s much-anticipated Raja Shivaji finally hit theatres on Friday—on the occasion of "Maharashtra Day".

The movie renarrates the epic life of Maratha icon Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Riteish is being praised for his brilliant job as the historic drama's director. The film is backed by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh under the Mumbai Film Company and is presented by Jio Studios.

Several fans on Twitter were excited by the cameo appearance of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as Jiva Mahala—the bodyguard of the Chhatrapati during the Battle of Pratapgad.

"#RajaShivaji is on rampage mode #SalmanKhan's HIGH VOLTAGE CAMEO making theatres erupt into whistles, cheers and non-stop appulse. Bhaijaan cameo is worth watching it's a MASS HURRICANE moment!!," one excited fan wrote. 

"Thunderous Applause for Salman Khan's Dialogue, Fans Swoon Over His Look in Raja Shivaji," another fan wrote. 

"Just when Maharaj Chhatrapati Shivaji is engaged in combat, a Mughal warrior attacks from behind with a sword… and out of nowhere, makes a powerful entry. The way he strikes back with brutal sword action, cutting down the attacker in a split second  it’s raw, violent, and absolutely gripping," a third narrated.

Meanwhile, the background music of the movie is also being applauded.

"Special mention for #JohnStewartEduri's electrifying background score in #RajaShivaji – it's fantastic and elevates the narrative at every crucial juncture," trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote.
