At the overseas box office, 'Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros' earned more from Middle East, with UAE as the most dominant market

"Vaazha 2" is currently the reigning champion at the Kerala box office, having already surpassed "Thudarum" and "Lokah" to occupy the #1 spot. In terms of worldwide gross, "Vaazha 2" is on the verge of overtaking "Thudarum"

"Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros" is currently the fourth-highest-grossing Malayalam film in the overseas market and the fifth Malayalam film to surpass the Rs 200 crore mark globally.

It has outperformed "Manjummel Boys" overseas (approx. Rs 73.4 crore), and now trails "L2: Empuraan", "Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra", and "Thudarum".

At the Kerala box office, though, "Vaazha 2" is currently the number one film, having already beaten "Thudarum" and "Lokah" and other biggies. In terms of worldwide gross, "Vaazha 2" is already nearing the figures of "Thudarum".

Overseas, the Malayalam coming-of-age drama sequel has been a dominant force in the Gulf (GCC) region, contributing significantly to its total overseas gross of approximately Rs 84.85 crore, as per data from various sources. The film has consistently been the number one title in the Middle East since its release, showcasing its massive appeal to the Malayali diaspora.

The Middle East region alone has contributed well over Rs 50 crore of the total Rs 84.85 crore overseas gross. Within this region, the UAE emerged as the single most dominant market, accounting for about Rs 38–40 crore.

Other GCC countries contributed around Rs 10.27 crore, while Saudi Arabia contributed Rs 4.68 crore.

The film's performance in the Gulf has been crucial in keeping it on track to reach a potential Rs 250 crore worldwide milestone.

Aside from GCC, other significant revenue came from the United Kingdom (UK) & Ireland, with roughly Rs 7.5 crore. North America (USA & Canada) added Rs 5.8 crore, while Australia & New Zealand added Rs 2.5 crore.

With the recent release of the Telugu version everywhere, including the international markets like North America and the UK, its overseas tally is expected to keep climbing.

Scripted by filmmaker Vipin Das, "Vaazha 2" was directed by first-timer Savin S.A.

Das also wrote the first film "Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys", which was a surprise hit at the box office. The sequel, starring popular Malayalam digital creators Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V, has fared way better at the box office.
