Fans of Kollywood superstar 'Thalapathy' Vijay finally have a reason to cheer, hoot, and whistle as the actor's much-awaited final outing 'Jana Nayagan', finally has a release date.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the action thriller, directed by H. Vinoth, will hit theatres on May 8, a few days after the political future of Vijay will be sealed after the counting of votes in the Tamil Nadu elections on May 4.
The report said the makers are set to announce the release date soon.
The reports of the release date come after the movie was leaked online. Nonetheless, the leak is not expected to affect the initial collection of the movie, considering this is the actor's last release in theatres.
The movie, said to be inspired by Telugu action flick Bhagavanth Kesari, also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju in the lead, alongside Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani.
The movie was originally scheduled to be released during Pongal 2026. However, it could not be released on time after it ran into trouble with the censor board.
