Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2) has made box office history by becoming the first Hindi film to breach the ₹1,100 crore net mark in India. It took Aditya Dhar's spy-action drama 29 days to cross the ₹1,100 crore milestone, and it has added another ₹87 lakhs to its kitty on Friday.
"As of Day 30, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is currently running across 2,092 shows and has collected a net of ₹0.87 Cr today. This brings total India gross collections to ₹1,321.52 Cr and total India net to ₹1,103.99 Cr so far, with India's final collections yet to be reported," box office data tracking website Sacnilk said.
Despite the challenge posed by the ongoing IPL season, the movie—which features Ranveer Singh in the lead role—is well on course in pursuit of the ₹1,234.1 crore all-time domestic net collection record set by Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule.
In the first week, Dhurandhar 2 performed strongly at the box office. The first week saw it performing so steadily that total earnings reached ₹107.30 crore, showing a solid opening and significant audience interest.
In the second week, collections saw a drop compared to the first week, which is common after the initial buzz. Despite the decline, Dhurandhar 2 continued to earn consistently throughout the week. By the end of Week 2, it added ₹94.60 crore to its total, Sacnilk showed.
In the third week, daily collections were lower than in previous weeks, but the movie still maintained a steady presence in theatres. The total collection for Week 3 came to ₹58.00 crore. In the fourth week, the film still managed to bring in additional revenue. By the end of Week 4, it collected ₹54.70 crore. Most experts are confident that the sequel to last year's blockbuster Dhurandhar can beat Pushpa 2's record to script history.
