'Dhurandhar 2' box office collection day 11: 800 Cr entry likely today; IPL may slow down 1,000 Cr club dream

'Dhurandhar 2' breaching the ₹45 crore-plus mark on a weekday feels like a miracle for many, a feat that was once considered impossible for a Hindi film

'Dhurandhar 2' is easily the most anticipated Hindi movie of the year | X

On its eleventh day in theatres, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has collected a nett of ₹11.85 crore already, a box office data-tracking website showed. The total domestic gross collection of the Aditya Dhar movie now stands at ₹944.42 crore.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge's total India nett now stands at ₹790.62 crore, and it is almost certain that it will break into the 800 crore club today. According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 collected ₹62.85 crore nett on its second Saturday across 18,820 screens, taking the worldwide gross to ₹1,226.44 crore.

Regarding box office records, Ranveer Singh is scaling greater heights with each passing day. "With 700 crore nett already in the bag (731+ crore in 10 days), the film is now aggressively marching towards the historic 1,000 crore nett milestone in Hindi. If the current trend continues, it is only a matter of time before the film achieves this rare feat—something no Hindi film has managed at this scale before. In all versions, it has earned 775+ nett so far," Sacnilk said.

On the eve of its release, Dhurandhar 2 earned ₹43 crore, while the opening day saw the Ranveer Singh-starrer rake in ₹102.55 crore in nett collection. Though the collections slightly dipped on Friday to ₹80.72 crore, they bounced back during the weekend with ₹113 crore on Saturday and ₹114.85 crore on Sunday.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released on 19 March in the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The movie stars Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

The sequel charts the rise of Singh's character, Hamza Ali Mazari, in the Karachi underworld, while also delving into his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi—tracing the journey of the young man who eventually transforms into the covert operative.

The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.

However, the beginning of the IPL may become a new obstacle for the spy-action thriller's historic run.
