‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ Day 1 Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh’s superhit spy action thriller crosses ₹50 crore by morning

Early estimates show that ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ opening weekend pre-sales crossed ₹200 crore

Aditya Dhar’s much-awaited sequel to the spy action thriller Dhurandhar, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, has opened to an impressive start as it premiered close to 9,000 shows on Thursday morning. Early reports from reviews of the preview shows of Dhurandhar: The Revenge from Wednesday hint at a runaway success.

By 7 am, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2) had raked in a little over ₹55 crore in net domestic collection, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. This includes close to ₹44 crore it made on preview day.

According to market analysts, Dhurandhar 2 is touted to collect ₹100 crore in net domestic collection by the end of the day. We await the final figures as the day progresses.

The film, which was produced at a staggering budget matching part 1 both in the vicinity of ₹250–280 crore, did an impressive run in its preview collection alone. Sacnilk recorded the final advance booking for Day 1 at ₹40.30 crore with close to 10 lakh tickets sold across 17,000 shows. Combining block seats and overseas pre-sales of over ₹80 crore, Sacnilk puts the opening weekend pre-sales number at a little over ₹200 crore.

The movie will see the return of the cast of Dhurandar including the likes of Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and many others. The film received an A certificate from the censor board because of its gory violence. It was released with a finalised runtime of 229 minutes.
