'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge' breaks unique 'Pushpa 2' record; manages huge 200+ crore pre-sales finish

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has raked in a little over ₹55 crore in net domestic collections, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. According to market analysts, Dhurandhar 2 is touted to collect ₹100 crore in net domestic collections by the end of the day.

Box office collection records are expected to be broken by 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge'

In a historic advance bookings record, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2) reportedly managed worldwide pre-sales for the opening weekend finishing near the 300 crore mark. The film has witnessed phenomenal traction not just domestically but also internationally, reports claimed.

In India, the film's opening weekend pre-sales stood at an outstanding 160 crore gross, Sacnilk revealed. Nearly 100 crore came from the opening day alone, including premiere shows, the data-tracking website said. "The film is now widely expected to deliver one of the biggest, or possibly the biggest, opening weekends in Indian cinema history," the report said.

In a separate report, Sacnilk also said that Dhurandhar: The Revenge broke the record for the fastest-selling film in terms of hourly ticket sales on BookMyShow. Aditya Dhar's spy-action thriller managed to clock an unbelievable 109K ticket sales in sixty minutes, surpassing the previous record held by Pushpa 2: The Rule. The Allu Arjun flick had recorded 107.60K tickets per hour on the same website, Sacnilk claimed.

Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, Dhurandhar: The Revenge opened to an impressive start as it premiered with close to 9,000 shows on Thursday morning. By 7 am on Thursday, Dhurandhar 2 had raked in a little over ₹55 crore in net domestic collections, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. This includes the close to ₹44 crore it made on preview day.

The film, which was produced with a staggering budget matching part 1—both in the vicinity of ₹250–280 crore—had an impressive run in its preview collections alone.

R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi return alongside Singh for the sequel, which has been released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
