Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is undoubtedly the most-awaited Indian film of 2026. Mounted on a massive scale with a never-seen-before ensemble cast and crew, the mythological epic is guaranteed to set the box office on fire. While Dhurandhar recently rewrote the rules of Hindi cinema's box office powers, Ramayana is touted to take things to another level altogether.

On Monday (February 23) evening, the first-ever screening of Ramayana was held in Los Angeles, USA at the Cinemark Playa Vista movie screen for a select group of people. The special show was arranged for people ranging from age groups 18 to 60, and had a varied section of audience amongst them.

Early reports from the special screening are extremely positive with the viewers lauding the gargantuan scale of the film and monstrous visual effects apart from the rooted storytelling. Remember, this is only the first cut and this screening is supposed to be more of a test experiment from the Ramayana makers.

Ramayana is scheduled to release for Diwali 2026 and it is a two-part epic with the second part likely to release on Diwali 2027. Producer Namit Malhotra is leaving nothing to chance, both in terms of marketing and coordination to ensure that the best output is gained for Ramayana.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram while Yash essays the character of Ravana. Sai Pallavi is enacting the iconic character of Sita with a host of other big stars also in the cast. Musical geniuses AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are combining for the sound tracks and background scores of this magnum opus.
