Yet another film of Timothée Chalamet has crossed the $100 million mark at the worldwide box office. The actor's most recent release, "Marty Supreme", has grossed $147 million globally, marking a historical milestone for A24, the studio that backed the film.
"Marty Supreme" is officially the studio's highest-grossing film. It takes the spot held earlier by A24's "Everything Everywhere All at Once" ($143.4 million).
The success of the film reinforces Chalamet's status as a highly bankable leading man. The actor has been enjoying a dream run in the last five years, with consistent hits beginning with "Dune" (2021), which grossed $410 million, followed by "Wonka" in 2023 ($632 Million), "Dune: Part Two" in 2024 ($715 Million) and "A Complete Unknown" ($141 Million), and culminating in "Marty Supreme".
Notably, both "Dune: Part Two" and "Wonka" came out within an eight-month span.
Combined with artistic accomplishment, the actor’s performance seems larger in comparison to contemporaries in the same age bracket.
Chalamet, who has already established himself as a strong talent in the last decade with appearances in Interstellar, "Call Me By Your Name", and "Lady Bird", reportedly commands a $25 million upfront salary for a single film as of late 2025, making him the youngest actor since Jennifer Lawrence to be accorded this privilege.
A24's other biggest box office success is Alex Garland’s dystopian thriller “Civil War” ($127 million worldwide).
As per A24, "Marty Supreme" is expected to collect more since some international territories have yet to release it.
Directed by Josh Safdie ("Good Time", "Uncut Gems"), Marty Supreme tells a story of an ambitious ping pong player with few endearing qualities. The portrayal is based on the real-life table tennis legend Marty Reisman.
Chalamet will be next seen in Denis Villeneuve's third "Dune" instalment.
For those who missed or couldn't make it to theatres, "Marty Supreme" is reportedly expected to land on streaming platforms and home video from Feb. 10, 2026.
