Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is going great guns at the box office and has emerged as the Sankranthi winner by a comfortable distance. The Chiranjeevi starrer zoomed past Rs 200 crore globally in the weekend and is on track to become the actor's biggest grosser till date. Meanwhile, the mass entertainer has also achieved an enviable feat in its extended first week.

As of Tuesday (January 20), Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has recovered its distribution amount in the Telugu states, both overall and across each territory. For a film that was sold at well above Rs 100 crore in AP/TS, this is a rare achievement these days. Many films that recover the overall distribution amount, still end up as losses in a few territories individually.

In such a scenario, the massive success of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu comes as a whiff of fresh air, especially when you consider that the other Sankranthi biggie The Raja Saab is set to incur mammoth losses. On its ninth day, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu continues to be rock steady at the box office in India.

Early estimates indicate Rs 7-8 crore gross in India and the figures could vary depending on how the evening and night shows fare. Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is heading towards Rs 200 crore gross from India alone. It is also trending well to become Chiranjeevi's maiden Rs 300 crore grosser but needs another week of superstrong run to reach there.

Overseas, the film is doing steady business although the trending isn't as exceptional as in the Telugu states. The upcoming week will be crucial to determine if it can break-even in overseas territories. The worldwide gross after nine days will be approximately Rs 244-245 crore.
