The 'Monday test' is always a critical aspect of a film's long run potential and Sarvam Maya has aced that test with flying colours. After a high-flying extended opening weekend that saw collections spiking up with each day, the film has shown remarkable hold on its fifth day at the box office.
Sarvam Maya will easily go past its opening day figure on Day 5 and trends suggest a number similar to its second day. The tracked gross for the opening day was Rs 3.17 crore (actuals Rs 3.50 crore) while the second day saw a tracked gross of Rs 3.75 crore (actuals Rs 4.20 crore). Currently, Sarvam Maya has a tracked gross of Rs 2.97 crore on its fifth day till 7 pm.
Apart from its stupendous run in Kerala, Sarvam Maya is also performing exceptionally well in other territories. Gulf markets are showing blockbuster trends and the film is set to join the Rs 50 crore club globally today. It is Nivin's fastest Rs 50 crore and has the potential to become his first entry into the Rs 100 crore club.
The five-day Kerala gross of Sarvam Maya will breach Rs 22 crore and it is set for an extended eight-day collection of Rs 30-32 crore. With no competition till the Pongal-Sankranti releases, this Akhil Sathyan directorial will continue to be the no.1 choice of film viewers in Kerala.
If the first few days indicated a SUPERHIT trend, that has now changed to BLOCKBUSTER levels with the question now being whether it can touch the coveted Rs 100 crore nett or not.
