Netflix has released the first official stills, release date, and poster from the upcoming Peaky Blinders standalone feature, The Immortal Man, headlined by Cillian Murphy. Coming three years after the sixth season ended, the film has the involvement of series creator and writer Steven Knight, with Tom Harper handling directing duties. Harper worked on the first season.

The Immortal Man will have a limited theatrical engagement on March 6, 2026, followed by its streaming premiere on March 20.

In a Netflix statement, Murphy said The Immortal Man is "for the fans," adding, “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me. It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders.”

The film is set in Birmingham during the second World War. The official logline says Tommy Shelby, played by Murphy, is "driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground."

The principal cast comprises Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, and Jay Lycurgo, among others.

In an earlier statement, Harper shared that he didn't expect the series to get this big. “When I first directed Peaky Blinders over 10 years ago, we didn’t know what the series would become, but we did know that there was something in the alchemy of the cast and the writing that felt explosive. Peaky has always been a story about family — and so it’s incredibly exciting to be reuniting with Steve and Cillian to bring the movie to audiences across the world on Netflix.”

Harper believes the team has made "something extraordinary" and that “there’s a great feeling of anticipation and excitement amongst our outstanding cast and crew.”
