Aanand L Rai's Tere Ishk Mein continues to be superstrong at the domestic box office. The romantic drama, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, opened to mixed reviews but that hasn't been visible in its box office trend. The film saw an opening weekend of Rs 50 crore nett including both Hindi and Tamil versions.
Right from a superb opening day of Rs 15 crore nett (Hindi), Tere Ishk Mein has been going at a brisk pace at the ticket counters. The film saw marginal growth on it second day, with collections of Rs 16 crore nett and Sunday came to approximately Rs 18 crore nett. This brought the weekend figures to Rs 49 crore nett with the dubbed Tamil version taking it past the coveted Rs 50 crore nett opening weekend.
The bigger test, however, was going to be on its fourth day, which is also the first working day of the film. Tere Ishk Mein needed a decent hold to become a safe venture and anything around Rs 5-6 crore nett would have been considered to be acceptable, given the polarising reviews that the film has received. Instead, the final figure for the fourth day is going to be much higher.

As per early trends, Tere Ishk Mein is aiming for around Rs 7-8 crore nett on its fourth day. That will take the four-day collections in Hindi to approximately Rs 57 crore nett. When we include the dubbed Tamil version, it will be around Rs 59 crore nett, which is a superb start for the film. Tuesday's figure should go higher than Monday due to discounted offers on ticketing platforms.
Tere Ishk Mein has found a strong following in the Hindi mass belts, which is allowing the film to flourish despite the mixed response on social media and among urban youth. How the film trends across the weekdays will determine how big a success it can be. For now, it is safe to assume that the film is a HIT.
