Darshana Rajendran and Jyothirmayi received a special mention by the jury for Best Actress category while Tovino Thomas and Asif Ali received a special mention for Best Actor.
Survival thriller 'Manjummel Boys' was declared the best movie while 'Premalu' won he award for the Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value It was the eight time the veteran actor was getting the prestigious award.
