WATCH | 'King' teaser: Siddharth Anand promises a new Shah Rukh Khan experience

The Red Chillies Entertainment production features SRK in a fierce salt-and-pepper look, similar to his 'Jawan' appearance, with dialogues hinting at a destructive character

The first teaser and title reveal video of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming King has been unveiled. Siddarth Anand (War, Pathaan) helms this highly anticipated action-adventure, which has SRK sporting an age-appropriate salt-and-pepper look similar to the one he did in Jawan.

The short teaser, released on the occasion of SRK's 60th birthday, features lines that hint at the fearsome personality of SRK's character, the titular ‘King’.

"How many people did I kill? I don't remember. Were they good or bad? I never asked. All I remember is seeing fear in their eyes. And I was the reason for it," says the Baadshah as he mercilessly eliminates opponents with a shotgun.

"A thousand murders. Wanted in a hundred countries for the same. The world gave me one name," he continues, followed by the title reveal: KING.

"I am not fear," he says, with a bloodied card between his teeth. "I am destruction."

One assumes the film could be set in a high-security prison, with SRK potentially playing a prisoner recalling flashbacks, but no specific details have been confirmed by the makers apart from the 2026 release window.

SRK is backing the film under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner in association with Siddarth Anand's Marflix Pictures.

A confirmed list of cast members is awaited. However, actor Jaideep Ahlawat revealed recently that he is part of the film. Known for his critically acclaimed performances in Paatal Lok and films such as Three of Us, Jaane Jaan, and Gangs of Wasseypur, the actor said that the prospect of missing an SRK film was unthinkable, regardless of how short the role is.

King marks Jaideep's second collaboration with Siddharth after Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, which was produced by the filmmaker and co-starred Saif Ali Khan.
