As Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turns 60, the 'King' star's fans are disappointed this year. While thousands waited outside the Bollywood star's Mannat residence, actor Khan had to issue an apology earlier in the evening for missing the annual birthday ritual.
Earlier in the evening, the Bollywood actor said he wouldn't be able to meet fans outside his residence on Sunday owing to security concerns. "Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues. Thank you for understanding and believe me…" the Jawan actor tweeted, adding, "I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all…"
Fans have been expecting to meet the Dil Se actor today, as he usually used to appear at the balcony of his residence to greet fans. Though he isn't currently residing at Mannat now, he arrived there in the evening, apparently to greet fans. However, authorities advised against it.

The first look of Khan's much-anticipated upcoming film 'King' was released on Sunday. Helmed by Siddarth Anand (War, Pathaan), Khan is seen sporting a salt-and-pepper look in the action-adventure film, similar to the one he did in Jawan.
